Preparing a renovation material order

Break the renovation into work stages before building the material list. Confirm the products and accessories needed at each stage, then arrange availability and collection or freight without assuming a fixed completion deadline.

Define the selection

Turn the work into a written schedule before ordering. Identify each work area, selected product and compatible accessory, and ask the installer to confirm details that are not resolved on the drawings.

Build a material list that can be checked

Record the selected product name or SKU, each required size and the quantity for each work area. Use the actual listed coverage when estimating packs or boards, and confirm the allowance with your installer. Include compatible accessories and keep a copy of the agreed selections.
