Cornice replacement: planning an assessment and order

Photograph the existing cornice and adjoining surfaces before arranging an assessment. Ask the installer to confirm the cause of any visible problem, the replacement profile and the finishing scope rather than ordering a close visual match immediately.
Define the selection
Agree the intended appearance and the scope of preparation with the installer. A sample, marked-up junction or written finishing schedule is a more useful ordering reference than an image without dimensions or supporting details.
Check before comparing products
- Existing profile and condition.
- Adjoining ceiling and wall assessment.
- Lengths, corners and finishing materials.
Build a material list that can be checked
Record the selected product name or SKU, each required size and the quantity for each work area. Use the actual listed coverage when estimating packs or boards, and confirm the allowance with your installer. Include compatible accessories and keep a copy of the agreed selections.
Browse related building materials · Estimate material quantities · Ask MY META about your material list. Collection and freight arrangements must be confirmed separately.
