Paint, wallpaper or cladding: planning the wall finish

Compare the intended appearance with the condition and suitability of the supporting surface. Discuss preparation, junctions, room use and maintenance before choosing a finish from a sample, then include the required preparation materials in the scope.
Define the selection
Agree the intended appearance and the scope of preparation with the installer. A sample, marked-up junction or written finishing schedule is a more useful ordering reference than an image without dimensions or supporting details.
Check before comparing products
- Existing substrate and preparation.
- Room use and finish compatibility.
- Edges, transitions and maintenance expectations.
Build a material list that can be checked
Record the selected product name or SKU, each required size and the quantity for each work area. Use the actual listed coverage when estimating packs or boards, and confirm the allowance with your installer. Include compatible accessories and keep a copy of the agreed selections.
Browse related building materials · Estimate material quantities · Ask MY META about your material list. Collection and freight arrangements must be confirmed separately.
