Insulation and heating or cooling: setting expectations

Frame an insulation upgrade around the building and its use. Ask for a project assessment rather than assuming a product label predicts a particular bill saving, and document the parts of the building included in the work.
Define the selection
Keep the product comparison linked to the project assessment. Ask for the current datasheet and installation guide for the exact code being considered; a catalogue selection is not a substitute for a coordinated building specification.
Check before comparing products
- Existing envelope and access constraints.
- Assessed upgrade scope.
- Ventilation and heating or cooling operation.
Build a material list that can be checked
Record the selected product name or SKU, each required size and the quantity for each work area. Use the actual listed coverage when estimating packs or boards, and confirm the allowance with your installer. Include compatible accessories and keep a copy of the agreed selections.
Browse related building materials · Estimate material quantities · Ask MY META about your material list. Collection and freight arrangements must be confirmed separately.
